Singapore Sports Hub

Venue Description:

The Singapore Sports Hub, a world-class facility setting a new standard in sports and entertainment construction, is a Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) between the Singapore Sports Council and Sports Hub Pte Ltd., a consortium of private sector partners.  The consortium has entered into a 25-year contract with the Singapore Sports Council to design, build, finance and operate the Sports Hub. The private sector Sports Hub consortium includes four equity partners:                            

  • InfraRed Capital Partners;
  • Dragages Singapore (also the Design & Building Contractor);
  • DTZ Services (also the Facility Management Partner); and
  • Global Spectrum Asia (also the Venue Operations Partner).

The Singapore Sports Hub will be Singapore's premier land and water sports, entertainment and lifestyle hub with integrated programming. A unique cluster development of integrated world-class sports facilities within the city, it will play a critical role in accelerating the development of sports industry, excellence and participation and take sports to the next level in Singapore.

Located on a 35ha site in Kallang, the Singapore Sports Hub will include the following facilities:

  •  A new 55,000-capacity National Stadium with a retractable roof
  • A 6,000-capacity indoor Aquatic Centre that meets world tournament standards
  • A 3,000-capacity Multi-Purpose Arena which will be scalable and flexible in layout
  • A Water Sports Centre
  • 41,000 sq m of commercial space
  • The existing Singapore Indoor Stadium
  • Supporting leisure and commercial developments

The Singapore Sports Hub, which is led by SportsHub Pte Ltd, is one of the largest sports facilities infrastructure Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) project in the world. It is also Singapore's largest and flagship PPP project of this nature and won the PFI award at London in 2011. The Singapore Sports Hub will open its doors in April 2014.
